PC® CARBOCOMP Sandwich is composed of a light weight core material such as balsa wood, and a carbon fiber reinforcement.

This core material brings over pressure and shear forces to the carbon fiber laminate which is situated at the opposite side of the material which has to be reinforced.

Vertical shear forces are taken up by additional reinforcing material on the sides, which also protects the core material.

PC® CARBOCOMP SANDWICH can be composed or the site or can be prefabricated.
